The speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Aminu Tambuwal, will soon declare his intention to join the Sokoto State governorship race on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

will soon declare his intention to join the
Sokoto State governorship race on the
platform of the All Progressives Congress
(APC).
Though some members of the House had
purchased the APC presidential
nomination forms for Tambuwal, urging
him to go for the highest office in the
land, a chieftain of the Sokoto APC
confided in LEADERSHIP last night that
the stakeholders in the state preferred
that the speaker contest the state’s
governorship.
The party stalwart, who sought
anonymity because of the sensitive nature
of the matter, disclosed that necessary
plans had been put in place to enable
Tambuwal declare for the Sokoto State
governorship seat on the platform of the
APC.

The Korwai tribe from (Indonesia) wasn’t discovered by the world until 1970.

The Korowai tribe, actually from southeastern Papua in Indonesia, was indeed isolated from the rest of the world until the late 1970s. They were first contacted by anthropologists in 1974, led by Peter Van Arsdale, Robert Mitton, and Mark Grundhoefer. Before this encounter, the Korowai had minimal contact with outsiders and maintained their traditio nal way of life, including living in treehouses and practicing shifting cultivation. Their isolation helped preserve their unique culture and beliefs, which are still not fully understood by the Western world. Interestingly, the Korowai's isolation was also influenced by their spiritual beliefs, which discouraged them from interacting with outsiders. They believed that pale-skinned ghost demons, the "laloe," would bring destruction to their land if they made contact.
