BOKO HARAM'S MOST IMPORTANT VICTORY
BOKO HARAM'S MOST IMPORTANT VICTORY
From what one reads about the Boko Haram insurgency you get the distinct feeling that the murderous group has scored a major psychological victory over Nigerians with the way we disdain our military.

Sometimes it feels as if we forget that the only thing separating us
from having our throats slit and having our wives and sisters carted
away as sex slaves is this our military; so a situation where Boko Haram
has somehow maneuvered Nigerians into mocking that same military means
that the group's terror propaganda is very effective. If you think the
military is the 'enemy' in one way or the other, haven't you made Boko
Haram your friend even if subconsciously?
I wonder how Boko Haram will rejoice when they read us refer to our military as "cowards". How they'll praise their god of death for conquering the geographical territories and the minds of Nigerians!
For me, I won't give terrorists the comfort of thinking they're even a match for our gallant military. I'll criticize constructively, I'll avoid ridicule and avoid wild unfounded stories.
I feel more comfortable calling these thieving, conniving politicians bad names than ridiculing the Nigeria armed forces. These guys are dying in numbers just to give some of us the luxury of sitting in our warm homes to denigrate and run them down. That's hardly fair.
Even as false reports are flying up and down glamourizing Boko Haram , I salute the Nigeria armed forces and I urge them to go ahead to clear every inch of Nigeria's territory of Boko demons.
Victoria ascerta!
